ELIZABETH IRWIN was born in Worcester, raised by Brooklyn and finished by el D.F. (aka Mexico City). She was a member of the Soho Rep Writer/Director Lab, Playwrights Realm Writing Fellow, the Public Theater’s Emerging Writers Group, the Primary Stages Dorothy Strelsin New American Writers Group and Playwrights Realm’s Page One Resident Playwright. Her play My Mañana Comes (Lucille Lortel Outstanding Play nominee, Drama Desk Outstanding Play Nominee, Outer Critics Circle John Gassner Award Nominee), received its critically acclaimed off Broadway debut at the Peter Jay Sharp theater and played at San Diego REPertory Theatre, Marin Theatre Company, ArtsWest Seattle, Teatro Vista in Chicago and Premiere Stages in Houston. Her site specific piece terrace play (2021) completed a sold out run in Flatbush, Brooklyn and was featured in Brooklyn Paper. Her other site specific work includes  coffee shop play (2022) and circuit play (2024) . Her work has been developed at the Ojai Playwrights Conference, La Jolla DNA New Works Festival, Space on Ryder Farm, the Play Incubation Collective, Clamour Theater Co and the Omega Institute. She has written monologues for the 24 Hour Plays, one of which “Making Lemons” (performed by Danny Pudi) was published in their anthology. She and Erin Daley (Primary Stages Artistic Director) self-produced her play Support at ART-NY in 2023.
